HOME ON THE RANGE

LONE CHIMNEY’S 4TH FILM TELLS THE ORIGIN STORY OF BREWSTER HIGLEY’S “HOME ON THE RANGE” SONG AND CABIN, LOCATED IN SMITH CENTER, KANSAS. IN 1872 BREWSTER HIGLEY, A FRONTIER DOCTOR, WROTE THE POEM ORIGINALLY UNDER THE TITLE OF “MY WESTERN HOME” INSPIRED BY HIS HOME, A SMALL CABIN ALONG BEAVER CREEK, AND CELEBRATING THE PRAIRIE.

Presented by the Hall County Historical Society.
